Hannah Potter

My name is Hannah Potter. I grew up in Irmo, South Carolina.  I began my dance training at The Dance Dept. in Irmo at the age of 12. In 2008, I joined the competition team and was able to travel around the Southeast competing and performing and doing what I loved. During my time on this team, I had the opportunity to perform at Disney World and The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

I have experience in a wide range of dance styles including jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, creative music, modern, tap, hip hop, and pointe. I began teaching and assisting at The Dance Dept. when I was 15 years old. In 2010, I was awarded the “Dancer of The Year” full scholarship award for the following season.

In 2013, I moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina to continue my dance education at Winthrop University.  During my time at Winthrop, I have had multiple opportunities and have been fortunate enough to choreograph and perform in a whole new environment. I have performed in the Winthrop Dance Theatre, Junior and Senior Choreography Showcases, Winthrop Dance Repertory Theatre, the Garnet Girls Dance Team and more.  I am very excited for my upcoming graduation in December 2016, when I will graduate with a B.A. in Dance Performance and a minor in Technical Theatre Studies.

I began teaching at Adagio in August 2012, and have since fallen in love with the faculty, students, and positive atmosphere this studio has. I am very happy to have had a wonderful first year and look forward to the future!
